Location: Camp Kiwanis, Mt. Hood
Celebrate the magic of the season at our Winter Family Adventure Camp at Camp Kiwanis on Mt. Hood. This special weekend is designed for families to spend quality time together while enjoying the beauty of winter through outdoor adventures, creative activities, and cozy traditions.
What to Expect:
Comfortable Lodge Accommodations: Stay in our welcoming mountain lodge, the perfect home base for winter adventures and time to relax together.
Snowshoeing or Winter Hiking: Weather permitting, we'll head out on guided snowshoe adventures to explore the scenic winter trails of Mt. Hood. If snow levels are too low for snowshoeing, we'll enjoy a group hike instead. No prior experience is necessary, and all skill levels are welcome.
Festive Evening Activities: Enjoy a Christmas movie night complete with hot cocoa and a cozy atmosphere.
Creative Winter Fun: Decorate gingerbread houses, participate in winter-themed arts and crafts, and enjoy activities designed for all ages.
This camp is open to families of all kinds. Parents, siblings, and other loved ones are encouraged to join in the experience. Whether you're trying winter activities for the first time or returning for another snowy adventure, we'll provide the support, equipment, and welcoming environment to help make it a memorable weekend.
If your family isn't able to attend, you're still welcome to register as an individual participant and enjoy the weekend with us.
Camp Schedule: Arrival: Friday, 4:00–5:00 PM / Departure: Sunday, 10:00–11:00 AM
Drop-Off/Pick-Up Location: Families may choose to meet directly at Camp Kiwanis or at our shuttle location in Welches. Shuttle transportation from Welches to camp will be available if winter road conditions are not ideal. Additional details will be provided upon registration.
Cost: ARNW Participant: $895 / Family Member: $400 per person
