The SPRING 8-week term begins the week of April 8th and runs through the week of May 27th. Our Summer of Thriving Adventures and awesome camps begins in June!

Fitness Programs

At the heart of our fitness program is the philosophy that “we CAN do hard things.” Fitness can be a challenge. Our goal is to make it fun and achievable!

 

Lifestyle Fitness

Monday and Tuesdays 8:30-9:10 am
$800 / 8 weeks

Lifestyle fitness is a great way to start or maintain a weekly fitness practice. Participants will join two virtual strength training sessions and then develop a fitness plan for the rest of the week. Students can choose a goal of 4-6 days of exercise and receive coaching and accountability with their fitness plan. Virtual Fitness Classes will run Mondays and Tuesdays from 8:30-9:10 am via Zoom. Can’t make the virtual class? Participants can have access to the class to complete later that day.

*For new students there is an equipment fee

Zoom Beginner Yoga

Thursdays 8:30-9:10 am
$400 / 8 weeks

Join us on Thursday mornings for our online yoga class!

This is geared for a beginner and/or someone new to yoga. Yoga is a great practice. It helps increase your flexibility and mobility, works on your core, and prepares you to start your day!

Personal Training

1:1 Sessions: $125 per session
Small Group: $85 per person per session

1:1 and group personal training sessions are a great way to get a workout tailored to the participant’s specific goals and engage in the community. Our group sessions are an excellent program for participants wanting a shared experience with friends. Sessions can occur in your home or a nearby park and begin at 60 minutes per session.

Recreation Programs

Our weekly recreation programs are geared toward students who are either done with high school or are in a flexible learning environment. The goal of our recreation program is to introduce students to various recreational opportunities, find and discover interests, develop independence, and create community. Want to join the adventure? Advanced Group Rec

Mondays 12:00-3:00 / $1400* / 8 weeks / 3 hours
Spring-term focus: Swimming and Fitness

Location: Gladstone

Our Advanced Recreation Group is for students who want to learn more advanced skills in our 8-week term recreation programs. This Spring we will be spending the first 4 weeks working on continuing our focus on fitness. We will be working on swimming as fitness, increasing our speed and endurance by swimming 500-1000 meters in the pool and creating a workout that targets anaerobic heart rate zones. For the second 4-weeks, we will be working on using biking for transportation. Increasing our independence in navigating routes, street crossings, and riding on streets with traffic.

Group Recreation

Wednesdays 10:30-12:30 / $1000* / 8 weeks / 2 hours
Spring-term focus: Fitness and Biking

Location: Tualatin

Our Group Recreation program this Spring will focus on Fitness and Biking. For the first 4-weeks, we will increase our independence and endurance at the gym. Students will create fitness plans targeting specific heart rate goals and depending on availability, using the pool to review our water safety tools and working on using swimming as fitness. In the second four weeks, depending on Cora’s recovery, we will be returning to biking on bike paths. This program is great for individuals who have previous experience swimming with ARNW and can independently ride a bike.

1:1 Recreation Program

Limited times available / $2000*
1.5 hours per week for 8 weeks

Location: To be determined based on activity

This is a great program for students who need 1:1 support or for students who have a desire to work on on specific skills or activities. Want to learn how to ride a bike, climb, swim? This is the program for you!

*Depending on which skills students want to work on, there may be additional equipment needed or program fees.

Community Programs

Our community based programs are designed for student to have a place to build community while participating in an awesome activity. Group size ranges from 4-8 students.

 
  • Community Climbing Group

    Time: Tuesdays 4:00-5:30 pm
    Location: The Circuit (Tualatin)
    $775 / 8 weeks

    Bouldering has been a BIG HIT here at Adventure Ready. Previous bouldering experience with Adventure Ready is required to register. Our class size is limited to 6 and the class cost covers admission to rock gym and shoe rentals. Please reach out with any questions. Looking forward to getting our climb on!

  • Community Beginner Running Group

    Time: Wednesdays 4:00-5:30 pm
    Location: Hazelia Field / Lake Oswego
    $475 / 8 weeks

    New to running or have you taken a long break and want to get back to running? This is the group for you. We will work towards running consistently by starting off running and walking. Our goal by the end of the fall term is to be able to run 1-3 miles without stopping!

  • Community Running Group

    Time: Wednesdays 4:00-6:00 pm
    Location: Hazelia Field / Lake Oswego
    $475 / 8 weeks

    This group is for those who have previously participated in our community running group or who are currently running on their own. This term we will be getting back into the swing of running and start increasing our endurance and speed. During Spring Term we will be working increasing our endurance running a 10k.

BASECAMP PROGRAMS

Each term we will be offering classes on Thursdays geared towards helping increase their indepedence, job skills and creating more opportunities for community engagement!

 

Fall: First Aid and CPR

When: Thurs. (9/28, 10/5, 10/12 & 10/19)
Where: Champoeg State Park, Oak Grove Picnic Shelter

Time: 9:30-12:00 pm
Cost: $575

Join us as learn important first aid & life-savings skills. We’re bringing in Erika Irwin, an American Heart Association instructor, who will be training our crew in basic first aid and CPR. Students will leave our 4-week course with hands-on experience and a certification that will be helpful for adventures AND great to put on your resume!

Winter: Lifeskills (8-weeks)

When: Thursday’s In-Person sessions: 1/18-2/8 Zoom Sessions: 2/22-3/7 In-Person Time: 10:00-12:00 pm Virtual Time: 10:30-11:30 am Cost Options: $675 (all 7 weeks) / $450 (In-person only)

Join us this Winter as we spend some weeks working on increasing our conversation skills, independence in ordering food, navigating street safety, and developing a personal mission statement. Our goal is to help develop a framework for students to make decisions. Cost includes a stipend for students to spend at our community-based locations.

The meeting location for in-person is the Oregon City Library.

Spring: Transportation

When: ON HOLD
