ARNW Adverse Weather policies & information

What should I do if we have inclement winter weather such as a SNOW or ICE event?

First, celebrate! Then check our Instagram or Facebook page for any current updates or cancelations.

Will canceled sessions be rescheduled or virtual?

If individual or group recreation or personal training sessions are canceled due to inclement weather, virtual classes will be offered in place at the same time. Sessions will be tailored & specific to the unit canceled.

What about community groups?

If a community group is canceled, there will be no virtual sessions held, however, students are encouraged to go play outside and enjoy the weather safely!

Extended weather events.

In the case of an extended weather event, attempts will be made to reschedule or re-develop programming to allow us to continue working with our students regularly while keeping safety a priority.

What if I have more questions?

If you have any additional questions, please text or call Cora at 503-780-0086.

What are ARNW’s policies about extreme temperatures & student safety?

Due to the nature of our programs, classes are held outside year-round, and during warm weather we still run programing. However, when the area of our activities (i.e. Portland-Metro for regular terms) falls under a Heat Advisory due to extreme temperatures we need to consider the health and safety of our students recreating outside.

If we are under a Heat Advisory (usually temps over 95 degrees) we will look to alternative programming for the safety of all participants. You will receive notification if your program or class is affected by this policy, but you can also check out our Instagram or Facebook page for any current updates or cancelations.
