Frequently asked questions.

I’m new, where should I start?

If you or your student has not yet participated in Adventure Ready NW programs & camps, a great place to begin is by scheduling an Introductory Welcome Call to start the onboarding process, find out more about Adventure Ready NW, and answer any questions you have so that we can find the best programming that would fit your needs.
We regularly schedule a number of half-day adventures that are perfect for new students to explore how participating in Adventure Ready NW programming builds community toward a thriving life!

Check out our upcoming events here.

What age group are your programs for?

Our target age group is post-high school students or students in high school with a flexible school schedule. Post-high school many individuals with special needs can experience what is often called the service cliff.  The service cliff refers to the scarcity of services available post-graduation.  Adventure Ready NW's main goal is to help create an environment where students facing post-high school life can find community, exposure to a variety of recreational and fitness opportunities, pursue independence, and run hard after a life lived well. We serve students ages 16 to independence!!

I’m interested in participating with ARNW, do you offer any scholarships or discounts?

We’re presently working on how to help those who need financial assistance, if you’d like to contribute to ARNW’s scholarship fund, please connect with Cora on how to go about doing this. If you are in need of financial support, please email Cora.

What should my student bring?

Students should bring a backpack & be prepared for northwest weather. Please pack a jacket, water, hand sanitizer & sense of adventure. Student should also wear suitable outdoor clothing & footwear. If you have any questions or would like recommendations, send Cora an email.

What should I do if I’m running late or need to cancel?

If you are running late or you need to cancel a session, please text or call Cora directly to ensure that she knows what’s going on & how to adjust.

What if the weather is bad or it’s not safe to drive?

Please refer to our Adverse Weather Information page for details on how we determine if it’s safe for us to Adventure!
